Dr. Shailesh Kumar Singh is currently serving as a Principal Scientist at the CSIR–Indian Institute of Petroleum (CSIR–IIP), Dehradun. Prior to joining CSIR–IIP, he worked with several leading multinational organizations, including Mahindra & Mahindra, Dassault Systèmes, Boeing, and CSIR–CMERI Durgapur, contributing to advanced materials development and manufacturing technology initiatives. He completed his Post-Doctoral fellowship under Solar Energy Research Institute for India and United States (SERIIUS)- an Indo-US consortium led by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Dr. Singh earned his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, with a specialization in materials design and processing. His research interests include hydrogen storage materials, high-entropy alloys (HEAs) and advanced material development, material informatics and machine learning, additive and advanced manufacturing, and sustainable green technologies.
He has authored numerous research articles in reputed SCI (Q1) journals, contributed several book chapters, delivered invited talks at national and international conferences, and filed multiple patents in the field of advanced materials. Dr. Singh has received several prestigious awards and research grants, including the Boeing Pride Award for outstanding technical contributions and project funding from SERB, the Centre for High Technology (CHT), and CSIR. His work focuses on developing next-generation sustainable materials and enhancing India’s capabilities in clean energy and advanced manufacturing.
